I've been real lucky in this department.   I have 3 kids that were pretty low maintenance and never got all dramatic on me.

My youngest is a 17 year old girl and we are friends.   She's tough, smart and not a drama queen.   She makes me samiches when I go fishing or play golf.

Yesterday she toured Missouri S and T and now my wife is realizing that last one is headed out.  She gets all quiet and introspective.  I watch fishing while jacking around on this site.

This was Thanksgiving 2014 the last year she was legal at Dry Run.   I caddied for her for 3 days and I never wet a line.   She killed em!!

No, the signature picture is my 6 year old, here's a couple of pics. Yesterday at Cracker Barrel they had a short moment of cooperation between sisters. Even though the young one refused to remove the fake tattoo from her face. The other pic is my wife and 14 year old daughter at the Blues game the other night.

As far as the oldest one goes. She is way to smart for both of us. Besides that our manner of dress is not up to standards either.

I've learned that being a grandparent is a great privilege.  Kids that know their parents are clueless still think their grandparents are basically OK.  So I got that going for me.

I have an 11 year old daughter and I'm already starting to see the teen years coming.  I love her to death and she is the center of my world, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the teen years will be interesting.  "When I was sixteen, my father was the most ignorant man in the world. By the time I reached 21, I was surprised at how much he had learned in five years."  Mark Twain was correct about so many things.
