Members Jozark Posted February 16, 2016 Members Posted February 16, 2016 I am a huge Norman lures fan, and was sad to see they got bought out by the giant Pradco brands. I am sure they will ship all manufacturing over to the China, and another great American lure company is gone. I checked Tackle warehouse and it looks like some people have heard and bought quite a few since the acquisition. It still amazed me that you could buy a quality USA made crankbait for $5-6. Well again tough to see but that is business, and could only hope the people at Norman lures were taken care of.
Ketchup Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I believe Pradco is a U.S. Company also. they've been around for ages. Most people would be surprised at the top name brand lure companies that they actually own. I don't think the Norman lures will change much. At PRADCO Fishing we serve all anglers, from those trolling for river walleyes to pros casting for bass tournament cash, the father anticipating his child’s first trout and the veteran ice fisher with his 5-gallon bucket for a chair, they all rely on us. So, when it comes to providing the products they want, you should too. We are: Rebel, BOOYAH, Lindy, Bomber Saltwater Grade, YUM Baits, Little Joe, Cotton Cordell, Creek Chub, Heddon, Bandit Lures, Thill Floats, Silver Thread, Bomber Lures, Smithwick and Arbogast. Names you trust. Names you know. Legends. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
dtrs5kprs Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Pradco is well known for dropping niche baits and colors from acquired companies. Norman had a big line, look for some favorites to be gone. Champ188 and crazy4fishin 2
m&m Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'm going to use this as an excuse for why I have to hoard more than one of a lure. Anybody think this will work...."honey the reason I need 3 of these in all 10 colors is because it is likely that this bait company will be bought out and moved to China and the quality will go down fast. Remember how that happened to wiggle warts? And now the original ones are priced way out of my range." Anyone think it will work? Mike Champ188, dtrs5kprs, rps and 2 others 5

Five colors available @Norman Lures web site for $5.25 each. Hooks have been bad for years. I suggest you "build your own" JDM quality bait. Yank the hooks off and send the bait to Hughesy or some other painter. When they come back use Death Trap hooks and tie your own feathers. I had a dozen done that way and the real cost averaged $20 per bait.
