It's finally happened... there's no current on Taneycomo this morning.

Along our bank, there's more silt/sand than I've ever seen.  The scuds and sow bugs are there again, moving down with the water level.  Rainbows are coming out of the deep and ambushing the bugs.

I'm going to boat up lake and take some pictures, then drive to the dam and take some more.  With the rains coming in this week, this may be short-lived.

It must be because we are coming, but I am sure it will change before we get there on Sunday.  Cant wait to see the pictures andd see how things have changed.

I keep hearing of flood rains... but the forecasts don't bear that out.

The forecast may not bear it but the TV weather people sure do. According to them you should be building an ark. The over sensationalism of those people is really obnoxious.

I've been hearing four to six inches of rain in a four or five day period. I wouldn't be surprised if it went on a little longer from the hints they're giving on the news. Good luck to my friends that are probably down their right now. They were going to camp at TRSP. I hate rain while camping.

It's just ridiculous.   When did rain become headline news?  I'll tell you when.  When the idiot tells me we're going to 3-4 inches and it barely wet my driveway.
