aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Left BP at around 1030 and ran up to my normal brush piles in flatt creek. Nothing but a couple bass. I dont think they have moved in the creeks yet. At least not thick. Also picked up barely keeper bass on a wart on the rip rap around the the bridge in flatt. water temp was 56 in the creek. Ended up running back out to the main lake and caught 10 keepers in about 15 fow. Jig was about 6 feet deep where i got most of them on a little log. Water temp in the main lake around 54-55. Tried to duplicate the pattern in different spot but didnt work out, i was throwing a 1/32 oz chartreuse head with a white Bobby Garland baby shad. mixermarkb, magicwormman, Quillback and 9 others 12

vonreed Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 It looks like they got some good size to them, or maybe it's just been too long since I've ate crappie? I've been wondering when the first reports would start coming in. I was down there about a week ago and caught a few out of the kayak off a steep bank on timber and barely saw anyone around. This next week is gonna have a lot of people starting to show up I imagine. Thanks for sharing your report.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 It was kinda a weird deal, caught all these in about 15 minutes and then it was done. adjusted depths with my float and tried different colors. even went on a boat ride to give the spot a break..... 4 out of the 10 had eggs. I still think its just a bit early. Im out of town for a week then ill be back at them.
