I've used Ulrich several times.  They're a certified Mercury shop, so that's a big plus.  I have a 150 Opti, and they have had parts in stock for any replacements.  I was told they keep two motors worth of parts for the 90 thru 250 Opti's.

Prices always seem reasonable for the services rendered, and they have always explained the work they have done to me upon completion.

I've used both Ulrich and Bruton's marine with happy results

Eye... I say. Change your water pump yourself if you are at all mechanically inclined you will see that changing a water pump is a simple task and will probably save you quite a few bucks. I'm not sure what it would cost to have a shop do it, but since it's a routine item needing replace every 1 or 2 years, I'm sure it can get costly. Sorry I'm just replying. As far as Ulrich goes. They are extremely nice people and good at what they do.

I think the complete water pump kit..new housing and all gaskets and impeller is about 40 bucks give or take and about an hour to change.

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

I called and they said it would be about $ 180.00.

Mechanically inclined is defined as "can take things apart and put them back together correctly."  I am very good at one part of that.
