Fished out of Viola today. Wind was howling and the fish were liking it. Caught a solid limit today, with the attached pic of best two. Fish were in about four to six foot, hanging around the mouths of the creeks and bluff pockets. Wart in watermelon seed and Bl/Blue 1/2 oz jig was ticket. Jig early and wart as the wind picked up. 18 fish total, mostly blacks with a couple Kentuckies mixed in.  Lots of trash and floaters. Be safe.

Ha! Right on ABK - just read your other post as well about the Jig and Craw -   So do guys throw the jig with and without the craw attached? I'll be getting in touch w Merc to order a few.

Kudos Jasper!!!!....I'm  not sure how many times my heroes  in fishing have said to me wind+crank/spinnerbaits = nice fish....throw in a little murk and it's  on like Donkey Kong.

You were working  thru the age old equation  just right :) thanks for posting pics

I never throw a jig without some sort of a trailer. I like Netbait Paca Craw's personally but there are a zillion different baits to choose from for a jig trailer. Any will do just fine just a personal preference type thing.

definitely a great day of catching!  colored water during the day is always a plus, and then throw in some wind and a warming trend, it's on.

i know there are many that do not like windy days, but joe just showed you that this time of the year, the wind is most often your friend.

as joe stated and i have already noted, there are plenty of floaters in the kings right now.  keep your eyes on the water and be safe.
