Caught these two fish around the Indian Point area yesterday 3/31. One on a spinnerbait, one on a jig. Both up on the bank.

Haven't been out, even from shore, in way too long!

My water temperature project is hard charging! Apologies that I haven't posted lately. I've updated many of the points on my map the last month, just haven't posted here. They are out of date as of this post. I've been busy:

I hold in my hand realtime temps. I've done some field tests and all seems well. Measurements have been reporting to me from an unnamed location for a few weeks now. I've currently got it reporting 3 things:

1. a surface temp (18" deep per previous conversations here)

2. a deeper temp (10') temperature

(other depths, now that it works, are not difficult and are cheap now that I've blown money on the rest!)

3. A SURPRISE that is going to blow everyone's socks off!! This 3rd metric I'll report is so cool. It's going to revolutionize how we plan fishing trips.

Anyways, just and update and some pics!

Ben, thanks for the report and am awaiting the 3rd metric.  By the way, it sure looks like a big guy rather than a big girl in each of the photos but in 2016, who am I to judge.  Nice fish.

great fish.  table rocks' bass are really healthy looking once again.  the best they have looked for a number of years.  we can all thank the mdc for only taking the better part of 20 years to get back to where we are at this point because of their no stocking, out dated, thinking.  wake up mdc.  take a look at the fishing in texas lakes, and it is easy to see that stocking does work.

not only could we have had better fishing for many years, but also a better inflow of tax revenue from more people fishing.  take a look at how many people are back to fishing because there is something there to catch.

sorry for changing the subject of your post.  thanks for posting the water temps.

Lol....i know that everyone on here hates the conservation department for trying to protect what we love to do...but this post is complete meaningless garbage.  There is a lot of pissing and moaning from people who hate the MDC (even from those who dont live in missouri, yet love fishing here oddly enough)...yet those same people sure arent involved in anything conservation related other than catching table rock bass.  If your so upset about it..get involved instead of talking a big game on the internet.  Nobody on here has the power to do or change anything other than make your feel all warm and cozy with a nice high five and pat on the back.  FYI...stocking or no stocking, texas will always hold better fish.

there are many of us that have actually bent the ears of the mdc for years, but they are deaf ears that we get to talk to.  we get that stocking programs do not work, but the fact is, they are not going to spend money.  i am not talking just bass here, but also other species such as crappie.  there are many more pan fisherman than there are bassers.  you can have your opinion, but the fact is table rock's bass population was none existent for way too many years after the virus that wiped the lake out.  texas got hit the same way, but they immediately started restocking the lakes, and in not much over three years had lakes full of fish again.  that could have happened here to with stocking programs.  local business suffered a lot of years because nobody was fishing because of a lake with nothing to catch.  so, the virus hit in the late 90's and here we are in 2016 and just now beginning to once again have a viable fish population.

so, it is really not pissing and moaning, but merely stating cold hard facts.
