rps Posted April 24, 2016 Author Posted April 24, 2016 Did I mention the fact the this boat has a transferable karma? No bass kept, ever. Only legal walleye allowed. Check my pictures for the last six years, you don't have to trust me. The picture proof tells all.
kjackson Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Like I said, buy my house in Eureka, and we have a deal... rps and mixermarkb 2
Ketchup Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Well crud RPS. I know being a tiller would be a deal breaker for my buddy. Sharp looking boat tho. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

I don't fish the way most people do, I don't want the boats most people do, and most people don't want to fish my way or drive what I do. My new boat my be the most conventional one I have had since the early 1980's. ( a Lowe semi v like the Stinger ) Sooner or later someone who fishes alone or with one regular partner, is not a tournament fisherman, and cares about features using a different priority list will see this boat while flush. They will get a great deal. For example, the hydraulic torque control is no longer on the market. Mercury bought Mertens and discontinued the product for all motors other than the Mercury. I can put the engine at WOT and take my hands off the tiller. The boat stays arrow straight down the lake.
kjackson Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 OK, just sell the house...seriously. Your boat is set up just about the way I like to fish. A tiller is the ultimate boat-control set up (I've owned or run eight tiller boats, and while I've also had console boats, the tiller is still my favorite.
rps Posted May 22, 2016 Author Posted May 22, 2016 Boat number one, a 1976 Lowe flat bottom jon with my father's 1960 18hp Evinrude was a tiller. Boat number three, a 1981 Tuffy was also a tiller boat. It had a 35 hp Johnson, I think. No boat from 1985 to 2002. Then I bought a Supreme with a 15 hp Mercury tiller. In 2007 I bought a center console Xpress I later replaced with the 2010 Alumacraft tiller steer I am now trying to sell. Obviously, I have had a love affair with tiller steer boats for years. The new boat will trade comfort, safety, and speed for the control I will give up by selling the tiller boat. I already know trolling cranks will be more difficult.
fishinwrench Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Those old 18hp Evinrudes are the best river running motors ever. You wouldn't know it just to look at them, but the way they balance on the transom and bounce off rocks is something special. Perfect amount of power for a 16' Jon boat too. If you have one, treasure it.....or sell it to me.
MOPanfisher Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 An old 14 foot Richline and 18 HP Evinrude was the only boat we had as I was growing up, at that time we fished mostly Stockton, got a little rough at times, but the motor never gave any trouble. After we sold the boat and motor the new owners got caught under Caplinger Dam, boat didn't survive but motor and occupants did, kind of wonder what ever happened to it.

I was young, strong, and dumb enough to horse that thing up and down hills to slippery docks and jam it on tippy aluminum boats. It is a wonder I did not drop it in the lake or use it as a way to drown myself. The guy who bought the jon boat bought it for the motor.
