4/19 update...with that wind blowing on spawn and staging banks Tuesday was a whackfest. Before the wind it was mostly picking at rocks. After that it was stupid. Bent paperclip and a piece of ribbon might have worked. Lots of 16-18" fish. Hit the slam again, with a keeper of all 4.

Just keep old reliable soaking and it will happen quite a bit. Usually get at least one a year.

On that line...the other day I started catching buck spots up on the smallmouth bed places. They were all spraying. Not a K bed around. And that's how you get meanmouths...

That color I sent the text about is smoking hot. Not more bites, but consistently better size.

Incredible markings!  Here comes my ignorance...how do you know a k bed from another?

When you can see them they look about half built. Lot of times right on the bank, way too shallow, and disheveled looking. A black fans out a nice big nest, K's are more haphazard.

Great looking Slam Dave!  Looks like you have them figured out once again.  Will you be putting out anymore videos on YouTube on fishing the little rig?  Would love to learn more techniques in fishing it.  You have consistently shown what the naysayers say can't happen and that is catching quality fish.  Would love to learn more if you are willing to share.  Thanks for all your input on this board.

Well...my esteemed videographer moved to Jeff City.  He is now part of the landed aristocracy. He owns the wall his back is up against. Might be a bit before we can do the video deal again.
