My wife and I launched at Long Creek at about 06:15 and headed out to find some crappie.  We were both throwing a black and green pumpkin pepper flake tube jigs on a 1/32nd oz. head.  Crappie bite was very slow today.  The crappie had moved off of the banks, we caught the crappie in 10 to 15 feet of water.  We ended up catching only 6 keepers and about 25 or so shorts,  The keeper crappie was 10 to 10.5 inches most of the shorts was 6 to 7 inches.  I was wondering if the crappie might of already spawned with the full moon this weekend.

We stopped crappie fishing and started bass fishing, I was throwing a 6 inch green pumpkin Yum worm texas rigged and she was throwing a green pumpkin fish doctor on a spilt shot rig.  We ended the day with 15 bass and 3 of them being keepers, 2-15,5 inches and a 17 inch, all the keepers were spots  and most of the others were 13 to 14 inches.  Lots of boats out today!!!!  Water temp. was 65.  Was a great day to be on the lake.

Good day, Nitro. One question ... is your wife in the witness protection program? :D

Champ no she is not, just doesn't  want people to know that she is married to someone that looks like me!!!!:D  I guess we are not certified photographers  when I downloaded the pics to the computer we noticed that we had the fish up to high.

Don't think so because all the Crappie I caught except one had eggs and they were in 10 to 15 fow.  There was some small ones on the banks but the larger ones were in deeper water, about 20 to 30 ft from the bank
