denjac Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 There's a yak tournament out of Indian point tomorrow weather permitting. Watch out for these guys and give em some space. They can launch anywhere on the lake , but suspect most will be around indian point. They set small in the water so be alert. Oh yeh, my son is fishing it. Champ188 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I was told there are 300 boats in the Tyson tournament (permitted for 250 out of Port of Kimberling). No telling how many others will be out there. So yes, guys, PLEASE be on the lookout for the yaks (and everyone else). Even one injury/death would totally suck. cheesemaster Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 How did the yak tournament turn out? All safe and sound I hope. What were the weights?
Sprint21fter Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Tyson tournament took just under 18 lbs to win, we didn't do so well boated 8 fish and 1 keeper all topwater fish early. Threw floating worms, flukes, flipped docks, moved out to 15-20 ft with jigs and wobble heads and the old ball and chain and didn't get a bite, felt like the fish just shut down and didn't make the right adjustment. Good luck to everyone this next week. Quillback, magicwormman, 176champion and 1 other 4
