We made it down today and got on the water around 10ish.  Fishing wasn't that great but I was with my wife and my 4 year old so I was helping them more than I was fishing it seemed, but we all still had a good time.  Wind made it rough to keep in one spot, especially since my daughter was fishing with a bobber and worms.  She did manage one green sunnie though and that made her day.  I only had one keeper largemouth on a Wild Thing crank and another small spot on the Ned.  Had another something on a tube that I set the hook on and didn't get to see it other than turning it over in the water but it was big whatever it was.  Wife caught a couple green sunfish too.  Hopefully this cold front doesn't really turn them off for tomorrow.

A pink Snoopy Pole has created lots of new fishermen.  Or is it a Barbie?  Congrats on a super day out with loved ones.

It's actually a Disney princess pole LOL.  Her Barbie pole got dragged into a pond by a catfish a couple years ago.  I did end up getting that one back though

Love that song.  moguy1973 kudos to you and keep it up.  Lost my daddy when I was only 27.  That's been over 35 years ago and I miss him to this day.  Some of my most precious memories are those of fishing with my daddy. Keep taking your little girl fishing.  I wrote the attached column for the now-defunct "Fishing Magazine" produced by Central Pro-Am to describe my experience and the profound effect it had on me.  Ok, now I'm reaching for the Kleenex.

Wife outfished me with the Ned this morning.  She got a couple small smallies and broke off a pretty nice smallie right at the boat beause she couldn't figure out how to loosen the drag.

Was a tad nippley out there this morning before the sun got over the hills.

I was way up stream on long creek this morning. Saw a lot of gar, does that usually mean bad fishing? I didnt catch much down there but the gar were beating up flies all night. I was hoping to get into some smallies but didnt fish real long after no luck. And is it too early for crawdads on a

carolina rig?

Caught the smallie in the below picture near indian point a couple weeks ago, just showing it off;)
