I fished with brother from another mother Hog Wally this morning. The water conditions  were very high and it looked like chocolate milk. Hog Wally  and I did one of the longest runs I may have ever done in a jet boat. We were searching for clean water and finally when we were practically to Cuba we found what we were looking for....it was a very defined line of demarcation but, a very small area. We fished our craws and they just flat out worked but, the bite was very subtle and honestly  there was a learning  curve to this bite that honestly  Hog Wally is ahead of all of us on.

Our best five fish in two hours of fishing went 12 lbs, including  two solid 18 inchers from Aaron....I of course could only muster a couple of 16 inch Spots which was very discouraging  to me because of how far upstream we were. The fish were just choking on our craw :)

We also discovered  a bait that Aaron  and I were about to fight over....I have already bought more and it's all good but this bait is simply unreal. It's always a great time trying  to figure  the bite out with my good buddy....and as always I learned  some crucial new info.

I'm guessing the bite was similar to how it was when me and Hog went a couple weeks ago. That's some great fish man! Its a beautiful day to be out. Thanks for the report and pics!

This high water has been tough but we are catching girls finally.  I honestly think the sows we caught today were spawned out and didn't fight very hard at all. At least they are biting.  Bunch more rain on way I hear.  Awesome.

Wow the extended  forecast is stupid and more than likely blown out of proportion. Sorry Bud I was laughing  pretty hard when you fished our mystery  bait....I haven't  seen something  like that many times before.

Crucial Info: Jet boat.

Crucial Info II: Someone who has one and knows the river and how to fish it.

Crucial Info III: Jet boat. Which means options.

Crucial Info IV: River Pro Jet boat that goes 50 and doesn't hardly make a wake or burn any gas.

True that.  I took a good buddy yesterday out fishing.  But he's not a good enough buddy that I wanted to share my home waters with if you know what I mean. So we put in at my house and took off on a run after going past the second boat ramp he said, are we gonna fish? I just smiled and kept going.  He has a jet boat too and I wanted to go to new water I haven't fished this year.  It was a good choice. I moved so fast I don't think he could possible remember where we were or how to get there.  Even so the fish were off their beds guarding fry downstream from bedding areas.  I guess the high water blew the fry off. Caught mostly sows
