I was fortunate enough to spend the day with my son on Table Rock. He caught his first walleye, and I caught my first logperch ( species identified by Johnsfolly ) . I was a great day. The evening had a really good spoon bite. (not on the video).

Dan - looks like a great time with your son! Keep the videos coming. Nice to get a couple of firsts fish. I hope to see a post form your Stockton trip from Saturday.

Sounds like you guys had a good time on the lake.  Congrats to your son on his first walleye.

Horizontal or vertical fishing the spoon?

A little of both, I caught a bunch of bass casting the spoon at a point, the walleye was vertical. Whenever fish are hitting minnows that little spoon works really well ! If I am on the rocks I will throw it if I am in the trees it's vertical.

It Was quite the treat to get to spend some quality time together.. I apologize about catching the most fish both days we went.!! It was a blast. I did save your catch of the day so every time you call this picture comes up

Not a very becoming picture, and with my most hated fish too. Pretty cool handle you have there.
