Still taking great pictures and no more problems with the LCD fogging. So far, so good. The only thing I'm not impressed with is the macro function. It's a lot easier to carry than my other macro option so I'll either learn to get over it or carry the other one too. 20160814-P8140015.jpg

Hey don't laugh, that's the fish of the day. I think I'm actually getting worse at fishing.

Flysmallie - I used to think that I was becoming a microfisherman then I saw your bass photo :D.

Does the this model still have the super-macro feature? That is what I use for my Sylus photos. I then use Picasa to modify and crop the pictures before I save or post them. My daughter would love that turtle photo.

Hey don't laugh at my little bass. :) Anyone fishing that body of water that morning would have been proud to catch it. It was a tough day.

Yeah it has the macro feature. I'm just a little spoiled with my DSLR and macro lens. I've used Picasa in the past. Decent software. Right now I'm using Photoshop, Lightroom and Nik. Some pics get processed through one or the other, some go through all three.

Well it looks like I wore it out. Just over two years old and it went to sleep and never woke up. I took some pics with it Saturday and then about 10 minutes later I tried to power it on to take a fish pic and nothing. I hoped it was just the battery. Maybe it failed for no reason. But I knew it wasn't. The last pics it took were really washed out like it was having some issues. And then it was gone.

Last pic from the TG-870. (after some corrections in Lightroom) Not sure what I'm going to do for a pocket fishing camera.

One thing about it you took a bunch of pictures with it. Many more than we have with ours over the years,

Since I carry my phone everywhere I go I feel it's rediculous to carry a separate camera.  I probably don't have an eye for truly good photos, but IMO there's nothing wrong with most smart phone pics, they actually amaze me.

I am a bit worried  after this post being brought back up about Wrench is looking at your b(posterior). I would be watching your backside Ronnie :)

Like Wrench I have been just using the cell and need though to get back to the little pocket camera,

I've been shooting some little plastic dinosaurs off my deck with a Red Rider BB gun. Can't see why anyone would need anything else.

Zebco 33s work too.

Please explain why you have all those other ridiculous toys?
