-Captain Nemo, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Just like the quote, and it fits. Have heard of a deep bite,  but have only glanced at it in passing. Most of our fish have been coming in less than 20', and most of those shallow. Flat places have been touchy, I think because the fish just don't seem to be eating craws. Fish close to a sharp drop have been much more aggressive, and are feeding heavily on shad. Doesn't have to be a plummeting ledge, just sharp. 10' into 15' is plenty.

We've been running a bit to fish clearer water. Almost kills me to run instead of fishing. Generally clearing up though, had some 3-4' visibility with a decent green color on the way back in to Schooner today.

Temps are pushing 80, or just past it most places. Early morning has been tough, may be better once the shad are done spawning. Fish are just gorged with shad first thing. Seems to improve around 830-9.

If the little rig isn't your deal, you can also catch some dragging a green tube on the same places. They are popping a tube pretty hard.

It's on my list of things to do. Maybe Saturday. Maybe Sunday. Maybe Tuesday. Maybe Wednesday. But its gonna happen.

If you throw it in a creek, they will crush it. Four fish in five throws standing on the dock just now. Two feet of water, bright sun.
