Fishing Was Good

Been laid up for last week because of a fall I took. But before I went fishing at Lead Mine caught a mess of Redhorse.

Took them home cooked them up, my Son was here he said wish all fish was good eating as them. I have to agree, I get to where I can get around I'm going back down and catch a bunch more.

Sorry about the fall young man. Can you tell me what you use for Red Horse bait, mussels?? Also wondering how you cook these fish? Many Thanks  CM

Years ago we used to use plain old red worm for suckers, have caught them in Taneycomo and loaded out and had some ask how I did, pulled out a stringer of suckers.  He muttered something about stupid city people and walked away.  Whatever buddy I will eat them suckers over a trout every time.

I use Night Crawlers I found along the river.

Take scale them, fillet, score from the inside to the skin, bread with Corn Meal, Salt and Pepper, making sure to get meal in every score and Deep Fry Hot.

I'm still laid up but soon as I can I'll be back on the river.
