Great looking canoe!!  You will figure out what works best for you after being out in it a few times.  Last week we found all of our smallies gorging on shad in the deep holes below the riffles.

Wow! That's a full load! Will fill my 17' with a load that size but usually packing dinner for 20 and an extra cooler for friends from out of State who fly in.

You guys will love this pic then.  "The Royal Debacle" on my last 5 day trip on the Niangua River.  We put in at Bennett and floated to the dam at Lake Niangua.  Next time more coolers less gear.

Did someone actually get in that or did you tow it along as a barge?

I like it, all the comforts of home and plenty of tude.

Smallie, I've been on at Hazelgreen and below about 50 times, never had the pleasure of the Osage arm...yet although Andy over at rt. 66 canoe will take us wherever we ask.

And yes, I floated in that for 5 days just like that.  Everything was flooded out that week so we ended up on the Niangua at 6 ft.  I was a bit heavy for the flow but survived.

Love my debacle.

Going to be floating Thursday to Sunday next week.  Undecided as to where yet.  Will keep you all updated.

I knew I had seen you before on the Gasconade....I have an Old Town SS canoe from the 80's that is a 17 foot and the more weight we put in it the better it tracks and it gets  as stable as a bass boat to stand in.....I was in that rig with a trolling  motor and you and another guy were pretty funny.....you guys were admiring my canoe....one of you said you HAD to have it hahahahahaha. ...it was funny

I remember.  That was I said the fly.  Nice to see you again.  I bought this 1 for $150 back in 2000ish. A guy at Lake Quivera here in town was pissed about the weeds exploding on their lake.  Said he would never fish there again so he wouldn't need the canoe any longer.  I'm certain he's pissed about that decision now.

The Debacle has been through many river wars.  I finished a 5 day on the Gasconade 1 year with duct tape sealing the bottom.  Also put on the Piney 1 year when it was at 12 feet.  That was a huge mistake.   If it weren't for my outriggers I am pretty sure I wouldn't have survived.  I've probably fiberglass repaired it at least 15 times at this point.  Doing yet another repair tomorrow.

Peace
