cheesemaster Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Launched at 5:00am right on the dot. The top water buzzbait really took off at 5:30 until the rain was so heavy I think the fish had a hard time hearing it and couldn't see it very well because of all the commotion on top from the heavy rain. I put down the buzzbait and lit them up with a 1.5KVD. I had 6 keepers that topped out at 2.5 or 3 lbs. I caught no less than 40 bass. Once the rain let up and started to clear - it was over. Off the water at 11:00. Everything was shallow, right on the bank. It was fun!!! The Frog Toggs worked great!! They get hot though. Quillback, magicwormman and MOhawghunter417 3

A good tip with the buzzbait that a great friend and mentor taught me....take a pair of pliers and pinch the rivet to keep it from spinning on the wire. Then hold the bait out the window while driving down the highway for a while allowing the blade to spin. It gets the metal blade seated against the rivet making a high pitched squeal. The high pitch makes a huge difference. Codywskeeter1521, cheesemaster, Champ188 and 1 other 4

Good old school trick. Mike vernon and MOhawghunter417 2
