Carp Cooking

Stopped got a Box of Best Choice Tuna Fish Creamy Helper. Used a Pint of Canned Carp in it. It was Good.

There is many ways of using Canned Fish this is just another way I'm going to use more.

No just cut up, put in Pint Jars, tsp. Vinegar, Pressure Cook at 10 pounds for 90 minutes.

Oneshot, we used to can a lot of carp.  Mostly mom would make patties out of it sort of like a crab cake, dad and I were known to simply open a jar and eat it from the jar too. Back then we trot lined for them with cottonseed cake, you could sure pile up the carp, probably still can, haven't known anyone to trot line for carp in a long time.

Is it just me who thinks that its pretty funny that the "fish" that each of us on this thread either represents the thread or what we like to fish for. I'm at Plains Killifish, which is definitely one the minnow species I would like to catch. Oneshot is at Black Redhorse and MOPanfisher you are at Black Buffalo. Seems funny to me, but then again it just may be late.

I think is has an effect on our attitude.  When I was a "Bigmouth Buffalo" I tried to stir the pot a bit.  When I was a "Hornyhead Chub" all I could think about was bikinis.

Yes take a Hanger with Cottonseed Cake, put Hook on each side. I can go with Dough Bait and most time catch all I want.

Use to have Pay Lakes where person would pay so much for a 20 pound Ticket then so much a pound for every pound over.

Oh, I am still a "Hornyhead Chub" but I guess I always have been.
