Gentlemen,

as I near full retirement, we are considering moving to the area, but away from the crowd around Shell Knob (the quite side of the lake). Bella Vista looks interesting, with lakes and only an hour from TR.  We would welcome any information and thoughts from folks who live there or are familiar.

Thanks

Diamond City is the place to look into. Right on Bull Shoals lake. Nice safe quite community. 2 MINUTES FROM THE LAKE, 40 Minutes to Branson less if you want to fish Table Rock. 40 Minutes to world class trout fishing in the White River. Diamond City puts you at mid lake between East and West Sugarloaf creeks. If you are interested in real estate give Kaleb Moon a call @ Capstone 27 Realty 870-422-3010.

I've lived in Bella Vista for ~35 years, so it has its' merits. If I'm ever able to retire I'll be seriously looking at the Diamond City option though. Fewer people, more fish. :-)

I can't dance like I used to.

If you like to golf and fish, Bella Vista might be for you. If you don't golf, you may not like it. My new bride of 6 1/2 years had a home in Bella Vista and tried her best to lure me there. Just too many people for me............Table Rock or Bull Shoals are my choices. I've had a summer home on the Rock for 40 years and have lived here permanently for the last 15..

Thank you, gentlemen. I hope to take a drive over there this week and look around.  So far, I have only looked at the map.  QB, I will contact you after we look around.  I'm sure we will have questions.

I never thought about Diamond City.  We may have to go check that out too.

Thanks, again, for the help.

Champ lives in Bella Vista also. He would be a great person to talk to. I live in Bentonville. One thing I can tell you is traffic in BV is a nightmare from 7-8:30 if you are headed south. Then reverse it in the evening between 5-6pm headed north. It's a nice area with lots to do. Love to have you in Arkansas. Good luck
