Thought I would share what I found this evening

Thanks for sharing.  That's good news.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

My dad had that same surgery about twenty years ago and it ain't no tonsillectomy.  It bought him another 13 years although he was 8 or 9 years older than Larry at the time.  I'm glad all apparently went went well for him but he's still got a ways to go regarding the recovery.

I'll especially never forget the mental and emotional toll it took on dad which is apparently common with extensive open heart procedures.  For six months or so he would break down crying at the most "inappropriate" moments, had drastic mood swings and experienced many occurrences of what I can only explain as or compare to the phantom pain that amputees have to deal with.

All the best to Larry.  I had two chance meetings with him while at Greer's Ferry back in the 90's and he's among the nicest guys I've ever met.

He is a credit to our sport.  One time he came to Parsons KS,,,, that's right I said Larry Nixon came to Parsons, KS to do a seminar for our bass club.  He did a fantastic job.  Wishes for a speedy recovery.
