Nitroman Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Mark my words " IT IS ON THE WAY " !!!!!!! Rock View Resort Table Rock Lake Greg Pope, Owner/Operator & Fishing Guide
vernon Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Just like Table Rock, LOZ hasn't always been like it is now and twenty years from now neither of em' are gonna be like they are today either. If one is fortunate enough to live long enough, odds are pretty good things ain't gonna stay the same as they were when we were younger. Unfortunately for us older folks, the changes are seldom met with our approval. Something to do with the "good ol' days" I'm pretty sure. Regardless, I've tried very hard to adjust my attitude so as to appreciate my good fortune to still be on this beautiful earth and let the young un's have their fun at the same time. Time is short. Champ188, tapout, 8pounder and 1 other 4 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.

The point is these clowns care more about slowing down the building of & placement of boat-docks so Table Rock does not become Lake of the Ozarks " VERSION #2 " !!!!!!! BUT don't worry I have watched them attempt & fail & we are moving closer every day. In a few years Lake Of The Ozarks VERSION II will be 120 south of you guys, only difference, less boat-docks. Well it will be when it gets this old your have affeunts, gas and oil in the water. You need to read up on quafers septic tanks and how far thing go thru the ground. Those two thing are your major threats LOZ Is getting cleaner. There are more and more sewer systems installed yearly. 3 hours ago, Nitroman said: Sorry, whoever told you " ALL LAWS ARE MADE BY CONGRESS " lied to you. I was referring to corp of engineer bussiness. I would Like to see you all fire in the right direction if your going to fight them. A federal law must be made by Congress. The law in question here gives the Corp of engineers broad powers to manage the waters of the nation. What I see going on down there are directives that they have issued under the law that allow them to. You will have a real hard time fighting the CORP. .You need to get your federal representative involved as positive allies In your behalf Without there push you got a lost cause. All the gripping will do no good. You got to spark thief interest so that they do are on your side. You got to get those law makers off their --- . Those in Congress can do that. You Do that and directives can disappear overnight.
DADAKOTA Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 100 feet helps some in reducing the wakes that are pounding the docks and sea walls at LOZ. In reality it does not help all that much. Those big cruisers aren't going by at 100 feet, but even from half way across the lake their waves are still enormous when they get to the dock. Really bad when you get several cruisers going by from different directions. Maybe the big boats need to operate at no wake speed. Put them back on the ocean where the waves can travel great distances and dissipate. At LOZ and any lake the waves are contained and release their energy on the shoreline, docks, and seawalls before rebounding. Last time at the lake I watched a 20ish year old on a wave runner intentionally running over the buoys along the docks.

When we pulled it ashore it has prop marks all up and down it. Not sure if that is someone being a jerk and running over it for fun or some moron that just shouldn't operating a watercraft. Either way kinda scary.
