I like it Chief.  Looked all over for one of them back in January and couldn't find one new or used anywhere.  Even begged siusaluki to sell me one of his at one point.  As I originally said, I still have some tinkering to do with mine; especially when it comes to organization.  I also had too many rods Saturday.  Took five with me and though I used them all at some point only two did most of the work.  So I'm gonna scale that back to three-maybe four at the most.

One other thing.  After nine hours my shoulders were shot.  In fact, it took a couple of rounds of Aleve and most of Saturday evening before they started feeling good again.  So I doubt I do any super long or overnight floats that would require me to carry much gear or a super big cooler.

Absolutely set it up how you feel most comfortable. I was just showing for reference to other options.

Maybe I'm an over achiever.........

No, what I meant was guys who have the time to build their biceps are the ones who aren't working for a living like you and me.

Joe:  I stopped caring about other people's opinions of my wardrobe 25 years ago.  As far as the arms; consider this an official challenge to a bicep curl contest anytime you're feeling pretty good about yourself...........:P

Also, a man your age shouldn't be staying up so late reading and posting on a silly internet message board......:D

Brian, as you probably know, I carry five rods in my solos all the time.  The trick is shorter rods.  I have a totally separate set of rods for the canoe as the ones I use in the jetboat.  All my canoe rods are five and a half footers (except my topwater rod is a five footer).  However, the Pack is two feet or more shorter than any of my solos, so you may not be able to figure out how to carry as many as four rods in front of you.  With my canoes, there is a little thwart right behind the end caps that serves as a carrying handle, but it also becomes a support for the tips of two rods, the handles of which lie on the thwart in front of my seat.  The handles of the other two rods sit on the seat supports, with the rest of the rod resting on the thwart in front of the seat and the tips within the gunwales of the canoe.  So my rod tips, where the lures are, are separated and the lures don't get tangled with each other, if I'm careful.  My fifth rod lies with handle on the seat support but pointed rearward, with the tip within the gunwales of the canoe in the back near the end cap.
