ness Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 Alright, I'm gonna look for their beer now. John
ness Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 I've mentioned this wine and winery here before. A couple weeks ago they announced the release of their 2015 Frontenac. We liked earlier vintages, so we made the trek out to the Flint Hills. We tried it out, liked it again and bought a few bottles to bring home. Having some tonight and it is very nice. There have been a few times we try a wine at a winery, bring a bottle home and wonder what the heck we were thinking. Not so with this one though. Light and somewhat fruity. Winemaker said it spent 6 months in wood, which is just right for this--not too much. rps 1 John
ness Posted August 4, 2017 Author Posted August 4, 2017 Bought these stainless steel ice cubes. They stay cold and never melt. Also, my likker doesn't get watered down. I like them. Johnsfolly and Gavin 2 John

Johnsfolly Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Hanging out at our local microbrew tap room. I'm having their Route 63 Ale (they call it a PilsNEAR). They have stated that this brew can be considered a gateway brew to more complex microbrews. Nice refreshing ale. Also pretty inexpensive - $2 per glass. ness 1
Johnsfolly Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 My betterhalf couldn't decide so went with their $5 flight. Boone County Brown ale, Crème de la Hops, their new Armadillo pale ale, and Big Tree IPA ness and Gavin 2

Johnsfolly Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Ness - I'm very partial to Bushmills. I haven't had their Red. used to get Bushmills Black which may have been aged in port wine barrels. While we were at the Japanese Festival in the MO Botanical garden on Saturday, I got reacquainted to Japanese beer! The also had a decent locally brewed Sake. We had Tako Yaki (octopus puffs), chicken Yakatori, tempura shrimp sushi roll, smoked salmon and avocado sushi roll, and a lobster spring roll. All were very good. ness 1
