joeD Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Face it, all alcohol is good, as long as one drinks it. Moderation is overrated. Lancer09, Greasy B and snagged in outlet 3 2 1

ness Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 Many moons ago, when choices were few, I bought a sampler pack of European beers that included this one: It was in a tan and brown-labeled bottle then. It’s the one that steered me down the malt path in beers. Now it’s canned with a nitro widget. It’s a thick, creamy, malty beer with very light hops. Pretty good but my tastes have changed somewhat and I wouldn’t rate this as highly now. John
ness Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 I am sure liking these Marlborough (NZ) Sauvignon Blancs. I mentioned Crossings beating Kim Crawford a while back. Drylands beats Crossings. And...not really a fan of flavored vodkas, but did try an espresso vodka from Breckenridge a while back and liked it. Can’t get it in KC so I tried this one from our local coffee company. This is very good. Keep it in the fridge and drink it with just a splash of cream. Dang. BilletHead 1 John
Gavin Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Interesting. I like Sav. Blanc allot but consider it a summer wine. Will be picking up some Gewurztraminer later to pair with my turkey.
ness Posted November 24, 2017 Author Posted November 24, 2017 Well, it hit 63 today and I couldn’t help thinking too bad Gavin couldn’t enjoy this wine in a climate like this😄 It’s just good. Don’t really care about the calendar or the temperature. Gavin 1 John
Mitch f Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 You guys are getting very technical! 😛 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
ness Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 Very important taste test tonight. It was done blind, but the color difference was a clue. Kerrygold is thicker and more chocolatey. Bailey’s is still really good and has a little more whisky bite. It’s the sentimental favorite but Kerrygold wins. John
