Nice one !

He sure wasn't very resistant about coming to the boat.  Hell I've had to fight 11" crappie longer than that. ?

I think Tommy uses 17 lb test and just hauls them in.

I believe it's actually 20# fluorcarbon. He uses it so he doesn't break off his jigs as often when he gets hung up. Plus he fishes the lake some as well and likes the heavier line for abrasion resistance around docks.

I use 14-15# line on my casting rods and I can winch in smallies pretty easy too. This is an 18 incher that I caught on a tube a month ago and I did the same thing as Tommy with it. It came right up to the top and he got a net under it on the first try. It's more fun fighting them with a spinning setup and 8# fluorocarbon, but I wouldn't dare fish a jig or soft plastic around heavy cover on something like that.

It's a little known fact that 20# invisx has almost the same line diameter as 15lb Big game.

love the clip Seth!  Have you tried the extended batteries from Wasabi on ebay yet, they will run a Gopro for 3.5 hours, especially when warm.   Otherwise takes a lot of batteries don't it to run all day!   You guys did well in the tounaments this year looked like!  Well done!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

I will have to mention those batteries to Tommy. The first half of our tour eys were rough, but we did well from the end of August on.

What kind of boat do you have?  Does it have a jet motor?  I had no idea you could even get a boat that size on the 'nade.

1860 Legend SS vbass with a 150 Evinrude Etec. You will see a lot of rigs rigs similiar to mine, but with 250hp outboard jets on the Gasconade. We run from the Missouri River all the way up to the highway 28 bridge above Jerome with no issue.

Be careful in that area, it's prone to bad storms that come up and get crazy before you know it.?
