jdmidwest Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Big Ole Cottonmouth Ran across this one online. Seems like he washed up with the Hurricane. Kinda sluggish from a head injury. That is how I usually find poisonous snakes, sluggish and some kind of head trauma. Five and a half feet long, big around as a softball, and a head as big as a fist. It would have flipped a 17 foot canoe if it dropped off a limb just right on one.,.. Terrierman Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Yeah, that's a big one. Didn't appear injured to me. Hope they released it somewhere wild.
David Unnerstall Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 A snake of this size must hold a lot of venom. I agree with releasing it but maybe it should have been painted fluorescent orange so it can be seen. Phil Lilley 1
ollie Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 HOLY COW!!! That is HUGE Cottonmouth. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
jdmidwest Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 He would be hard to hide in a patch of grass. A head the size of a mans clenched fist. Probably eat small children for lunch. It would not be one I would like to come across on an adventure. The three footers are impressive enough. MOPanfisher Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Big ole fat one like that would probably spend a lot of time lying in the sun. Though it might be after eating that small chil.
