KVD and the Toyota Guys

Seen KVD was in town again this weekend fishing the Toyota Bonus Bucks tourney on Table Rock. Any of you out fishing this weekend come across any of them? Or fishing in it?

Talked to a couple guys who each got a check but they were very discouraged.  There were a lot of good sticks and very few limits. 

We just arrived and hope to fish this week, but are expectations are low.

Thanks Quill. Thats the word i got was tough fishing. I fished twice last week and it was bad. We are camping at Cape this Thur.-Sunday and will try like i always do. I need to get off the bank.

I am going to try and get out a day or two myself this week.  I am expecting it will be tough, but it is still fun to get out.

I could not believe how tough it was.  I fished three days, Long Creek, Kimberling City, and the James river and the only keepers were on Sunday.  We caught shorts on warts, jigs, and ned.  Keepers came on the ned.

OK, NOW I'm starting to feel better!  The only thing that wasn't perfect about our week was the catching - the fishing, boating, golfing, etc. was terrific.  After reading this, I guess the "catching" part wasn't really all that bad either!

In retrospect, if I had to do it all over again I think I'd just cover as much water as I could and use the wind to my advantage whenever possible.

Also, would probably take a trip up the James or Kings just to see what was going on.

It seems it's been tough all this month so far......I may get out this week also, but i have a couple jobs to do first...need to try out my new starter and prop....lol

Felt kinda sorry for the old boys from Alabama who won. They didn't have any jerseys or buffs like the cool kids did. Oh well, guess that $5,000 check was pretty cool.

Now they can buy some of them cool looking jerseys like you wear everyday Champ!!!!
