That makes as much or more sense than anything I've come up with, Sprint. We did have some very shallow fish last winter and I can't think of a time that they disappeared since then.

The only way I found these fish in the winter was because I saw a bait in a tree and went over to get it and saw the shad run at the edge of the bank and went back to that bank a hour later and caught them on a wiggle wart. They are not supposed to bite in cold muddy water right?  However, it had been 2 weeks since the flood and things stablized.  "Fish are Crazy" thats all I have to say, find the bait find the fish.

I kind of found them by accident, too, Sprint. Donna and I were up in a river arm one day in Jan/Feb and I was throwing a jerk bait and she'd been dragging a jig. There was a leaning log coming off a bank and, being from Texas, she had to throw on it. So she hurled her jig over there on a very long cast and next thing I know, she's wresting with a nice LM. I figured it was a fluke but she badgered me into getting her closer, and dang if she didn't catch 2 or 3 more NICE ones flipping that jig into that shallow wood. Don't know if I was more surprised or tickled by their location.

I would guess maybe one boat a week goes down a bank at Bull.  And 10+ goes down a bank a week at TR?

At least, on a busy day you'll see boats fishing points, bluff ends, etc., all day long.  One boat will fish a point, leave and 10 minutes later another boat will pull in and fish that spot.  Lots of guys out there 4-5 days a week and they are good fishermen.  But in spite of all that, you can put your head down and catch fish here and there.

Probably 1 per week on Bull and 10 per day on the Rock.  On some locations especially in the dam area, an entire day will go by never NOT having a boat on it.
