I've been watching the weather all week and will be pulling the trigger on heading down this weekend from Kansas City.

I was looking to start out around SK and do some exploring anywhere from Baxter to Viney. My initial thought is that with the water cooling so quickly, the jerkbait bite might pick up. If you see a blue Lowe deep v tooling around the White with Neds and mcsticks stop by and say hello.

My new year's resolution from '16 was to catch a 17" spot (I'm feeling optimistic).

Lots of 17" pig spots in this lake. I've caught a few in the 18 and 19 inch class and they have always been on jerkbait in cool water. That or slow rolling a spinnerbait. Good luck.

Donna and I will be there Saturday, too, and maybe Sunday. Loading up at noon Saturday to go eat lunch with some friends then planning to come back for the afternoon. White Ranger with silver/gunmetal stripes and a Merc with a canvas engine cover. Tall fat guy aboard with gorgeous back-deck candy, although she'll be far too bundled up to see anything more than the tip of her nose ... and even that's a maybe.

If you see us, keep moving. I'm a jerk and will throw baits at you. Just ask 96CHAMP.

Kidding, of course. Come say hi and tell me how to catch one. :)

Your self deprecating humor is beginning to have a negative emotional effect on your idolizers!  Kind of like the Santa's not real thing from when I turned 40!

Danged kids always wanting to hang around adult websites and forums.  I didn't realize so many of you guys were under 40.  It was bound to happen eventually anyway so just take your trophy case full of "Bass Fishing Participant" awards and deal with it!
