Hey guys this a 9.9 Montgomery ward sea king.  I think it's an 86.  Had the title years ago but it is lost now otherwise I might try to get a few bucks for it

after the ramp washed out at lake springfield i haven't used it. It ran when I put it up.  It would cut out a little here and there but it did run.  The pull start broke so I always just wrapped a pull rope around the flywheel and started it that way.

Free to good home.  It's just taking up space at my house

Very cool of you.

Just to keep it interesting.... I have one just like it WITH TITLE that needs a NLA shift bushing (easily made but not worth my time) so I've decided to part it out.  It has a good starter assembly and many other good parts.

I had planned on parting this one out because oddly enough it's worth more that way, but if someone here wants the whole motor I'll take 150.00.  (it's worth about 400.00 parted out).

Remember though that this one needs a shift linkage bushing that is NLA (no longer available).   A bushing would have to be made.  Pretty easy to do....but will take more time than I'm willing to put into it.

We used to have one of those motors back in the day.  It powered a little ole 12' jon boat my buddy had.  I remember a cold winter day running the Diversion Channel with 3 of us in the little boat.  Never even thought about a life jacket back then, just the cushions we were sitting on.

I have a kayak that size now.  I am pretty sure that little jon boat was over loaded and over powered on most trips.  Not something I would do anymore as I am older and wiser.

Neither will the youth of America today.  If daddy won't buy them a 20' bassboat and a truck to pull it with....Then they just won't fish, they'll be gamers.

Even with that available, they choose not to come out of the house.
