Members Girschwinn Posted January 20, 2017 Members Posted January 20, 2017 Goin to fish at the Bennett Springs Access early Saturday morning and Barclay Access later that day. It's supposed to be nice, around 62 I think! Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had been down recently. Gonna be fishing rapalas and rooster tails. Any tips as to the best spot or what lures would be workin right now would be much appreciated!!! Thanks, Alex Johnsfolly 1
oneshot Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Been slow but there is a hole below the riffle below the 64 HWY Bridge that has been Good in the past. If you can go on down below the Ramp you'll come to a Gravel Bar on down on opposite side, just across from there has been good. Barclay can't go wrong following the Lane cut through the brush, come to a ditch, go to the left it will take you to a Riffle always good there. I've used Small Spinners and done well this time of year. Color depends on what they want that day. If all else fails White Power Dough Bait. The water is very clear so 2# Test Line should work best. oneshot Johnsfolly and Girschwinn 2

Members Girschwinn Posted January 24, 2017 Author Members Posted January 24, 2017 Had a hard time getting bites at Bennett Springs Access. Caught a real nice brown on a lipless crankbait at Barclay Access!!! Nicest trout I've ever caught! Overall a great day to be fishin in the ozarks. JestersHK, BilletHead, mzrealfish and 2 others 5

We didn't make it to Barclay access on Saturday, but do agree that it was a great day to be on the river! Girschwinn 1

fishinwrench Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Awesome. Lipless cranks don't get seen much by river fish around here. Not sure why not.
