Define Dog.

My Tracker has a 50 on it and runs 35 at top end, plenty fast for me in a 17.5 boat.  I like Tracker aluminum bass boats, but they have their quirks like all boats.

30 with a full load, Guess it depends on the tracker, mine is the TXW so it is fairly wide for a 17...   I put a bigger motor on since then and couldnt believe how much better that Hull responded.  You can trim it up and it rides way back on the hull and handles so much better.   I had no real complaints about my 60, just a little slow. Trackers just tend to come pretty under powered from BPS

I have a Lowe Roughneck 1860.  Obviously its a utility boat but I set it up to bass fishing out of.  Has the livewell, good sized front deck with pedestal seat, rod/gun box, console.  Has a 50 Merc on it and will go about 31 mph loaded and full of fuel.  I would have a glass boat but I literally do everything in this boat.  I duck hunt, turkey hunt, fish, bowfish out of it and I take it almost anywhere.  Its been abused but still looks awesome.  I rhino lined the entire thing so I think that helped.  But I love the boat, I will never get rid of it, I'll probably just end up getting a glass boat when I can afford it and keep this one.

With that Merc. 200 on that 17' boat, after the wrap you will be ready for the Tin MLF circuit.

I need to put a wrap on my glass boat to make it look like a tin boat...lol

I had an older ranger glass boat and loved it but I sold it and bought a 2012 tracker txw175 and I wouldn't trade it for the world.  I've taken is all over, I live in Kansas and come to taney 3 to 4 times a year and it's easy pulling and perfect for that.  I took it to Ray Roberts and fished a week last year in Texas and had zero issues with that.  I would never go back to glass I love my tin.  Just my experience though.

I have a 2003 G3 HP180 with a Yamaha 150 HPDI. It's a lot of motor for an 18' mod-v bass boat, but it cruises nicely at 35-40 mph at half throttle. I rarely have to go 3/4 to full throttle, but nice to have available if a storm is rolling in. 60+ mph in a tin boat can make you pucker a bit. I always figured its better on the motor to not run hammer down all the time. Plus it's nice to not have to listen to it struggling back there the whole time.

As for the G3, I've had zero issues in the 7 years I've owned it. Would not hesitate to buy it all over again if I had to. It gets a little dicey down on the big end of the lake with the wake boats and big cruisers, but I'm sure you'd have that with any bass boat. It sure is a breeze to pull that tin boat rather than a big glass boat. I seem to take it more places because it's so easy to tow.

One brand I didn't see mentioned so far is Xpress. The few I've seen in showrooms look really impressive. I believe they are built down in Arkansas. Looks like most of them are Rhino lined from the factory then painted over.

Just saw that, didn't realize there was one, but what a great idea! I'll have to see if the fiancé is game, since she catches most more than me anyway. Nothing better than teaching someone to fish, just to have them out fish you every time you go out.

Is there somewhere I can see locations, dates, and times for the club?
