Lancer09 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I'm still pulling 1 to 2 pink brandywines a day from two plants, the black prince and cherokee purple are knocking out a tomato every other day of so for each of them that are ripe. Cherry tomatoes are really going right now too better than they have so far. Golden Jubilee is finally putting some fruits out too. my two basil plants are over 3 feet each, and the jalapenos are going strong still also. they get that good late afternoon sun that I think is really helping them right now. tho1mas and BilletHead 2

Did baby and cover the nights it was down to the mid twenties. Two plantings. I am thinking of making some Chili oil You ever done that? Also John do you drain your rain barrels for the winter? We did make peppered vinegar by packing a small canning jar full of the thai peppers and white vinegar. Got somd good heat and nice vinegar flavor. Yes we try to drain our barrels or leave a lot of space in the barrel so if they freeze there is room for ice expansion over the winter. We try to fill bottles and store the water in the garage. We don't disconnect them from the downspouts but you could. BilletHead 1
