Getting pretty stupid IMO. BASS needs to spread the love a little.  In a matter of 5 years the classic has been on Grand or Hartwell in 4 of those years? Dumb. Same can be said for a lot of their yearly regular season lakes as well.

Why doesn't Table Rock ever get any consideration for the Classic? It has all the ingredients to be a success. Great fishery with all 3 species. Big enough lake for the field. Multiple patterns can work at any given time. Plenty of places for lodging. Branson is 30 minutes away for weigh in and the expo. Springfield about an hour if you want to go that route. The Elites have had events here in the past. Should have a good turnout from fans as it is pretty centrally located and would draw from many states. Not sure why TR hasn't been looked at as a viable location for the Classic.

I'm sure the cities give bass some sort of incentive to host it there

Without a doubt. One would think that Branson and Springfield would have some pull to get it on TR. Johnny Morris.......

The only problem with Table Rock is where would they have the weigh-in's?  They need a fairly large indoor arena to have it in, and I don't think that MSU would let them use JQH Arena with it being basketball season.  But then again there's a circus taking it over for 4 days this year at the end of March so maybe something like that is plausible.  I'm not sure there's a facility big enough in Springfield to host the expo either.

Good point, I think at the weigh-in in Tulsa they had somethin like 5,000 people (I may be off, but that arena was full).  And the Expo was jam packed.  They built a big launch site for the event also.

That being said, I am all for it being on The Rock.  You'd think JM would get behind it, good showcase for BPS and everything else tourist related in the area.

Same lakes again, make the world championship interesting instead of all the pros passing out way points that they have caught fish on over the last few years.  It will still be exciting but put em on different lakes.  Example, Beaver would be GREAT.  Its where it first started!!!   That would be a challenge.  I bet Table Rock will host one sometime, they can trailer to JQH,  the open this year in March may be a pre cursor.  We shall see.
