Gavin Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Pink works when it works. It does not seem to matter if the water is air clear or stained. BilletHead 1

When My oldest daughter was much younger, I let her pick our her own plastic worms. She chose bubblegum. So those were her special worms. That is until I found that the one private lake that I get out to fish every so often had bass that just could not leave the bubblegum alone. I can't recall how many "replacement" bags of her bubblegum worms I had purchased since she was 6 (she's now 20 going on 21 in June). On that lake bubblegum worms and flukes catch bass all year long. snagged in outlet 3 and BilletHead 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I did the same thing with my daughter. A couple years after they stocked the lakes at New Town the fish were just getting to be 17-18 inches and fat. They would get stupid on the pink fluke. She would run around and fire that thing in there and Just whack em. White fluke, my favorite, not happinen. BilletHead, Johnsfolly and Gavin 3
Gavin Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Have two daughters 7& 9. Hard to keep pink & purple anything in stock. Seems that they are always raiding my man cave for craft materials. Fine with me though. BilletHead and snagged in outlet 3 2
BilletHead Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Oh gentlemen, Just isn't the young girls. The Mrs. BilletHead wants pink and purple flies tied all the time. Especially hoppers and she catches as many trout as I do out West on them. I must admit using the "pink pookie" many times . That and I am sure I will be making her an articulated fluke/worm in pink and purple shades.
