This is the result of an owner who after terminating the VRO system on his 115 Evinrude and switching to mixed fuel, he didn't realize that 16oz. was a pint, NOT a quart.

You can see the heavily baked on oil deposits on the bottom side of all pistons.  IMG_20170220_152712.jpg

I figured this would be helpful info for anyone that thinks "extra oil is a good thing".    

50:1 (1 pint per 6 gallons) is actually more oil than any 2S outboard engine needs.....So don't go adding extra splashes and thinking that your "safer that way".  ?

The "too much oil" certainly didn't hurt the cylinders, connecting rods, or crank.  The block won't even require any machine work, just a fresh hone and all new pistons.
