I think CX premium was good for spinning reels. I really never tried it in anything over 10 lb. I lost a nice fish in the river with 10lb test,  that in my opinion shouldn't have happened. Diameter = abrasion resistance...too thin is not always good. I use Yozuri almost exclusively now. Granted, it doesn't have the limpness or small diameter, but I don't loose many fish either.

It's good stuff. It might be that they are bailing on that glowe blue stuff. I've got bulk spools of 4,6,8,10, and 12. But it doesn't last forever. I have 300 yard spools for leader material.

I recently got 300 yards of the glow worm yellow in 8 lb for jig pole fishing.

Tackle Warehouse usually has a big sale on it in the Fall. That is when I usually buy my bulk spools.

I've never had any issues with it on my spinning reels.  It does curl some but I've never had issues with it looping off the spool when it wasn't supposed to.  A shot of KVD line and lure helps it out a lot.  I found the Line and Lure really really helps out on the CXX.  It limps that stuff up a lot and makes it much more manageable on my casting reel.

Maybe it was the Yo-Zuri that I was thinking that was thicker than a typical mono of the same strength.  I really like Yo-Zuri too but I found it to be less manageable on spinning gear than the P-line CX Premium.  The Yo-Zuri has a lot more memory in my opinion.

Sunline sniper is the best Fluoro I've ever used on spinning tackle. Invizx is good, but sniper is less stretchy, as managable if not more, and is very abrasion resistant and has great knot strength. I know, I'm a broken record, but I love that stuff.

Won't go wrong with either one.

I want the smallest diameter I feel comfortable with. I want the line to affect the bait less. I want max casting distance. I want the current not to grab the line anymore than I can help

You could have gone up to 12 lb to get more diameter, but you've found an option you are happy with.

You're used to fishing lighter lures and spinning rods, I rarely go below 3/16 oz, mostly 5/16 or above.

Yep, 1/32 oz is not uncommon for me to fish
