MOPanfisher
Opening day of trout park season turned out to be a good day for me. Almost nobody where I was fishing, and Jack don't care about the north wind. 4 jacks, 2 bass and missed 4 solid whacks. Good evening. Decided to put on my old neoprene waders that I have had for 15 years, mostly for the wind/warmth but sometimes I wade out a little. It was like putting a water baloon on a zuchini, and I was the zuchini. But discomfort is secondary when jack is on the menu. Certainly nothing big but look delicious. grizwilson, crappie_adams83, frying eyes and 13 others

Walleyedmike
On the board with a limit! Now I'm getting jealous. I need to hop in the truck and head south! Soon! Good job there, MOPanfisher! WM

dan hufferd
That is outstanding ! I would love to catch some from the bank. Really great that you were alone, I bet it was nice.
MOPanfisher
There were a grand total of 3, counting me at any given point. Last time I went there were 12 and caught nothing that day. But the weather was warm and beautiful that day, I like sucky weather better, less people and I catch more walleye on those days. grizwilson, Walleyedmike and dan hufferd

MOPanfisher
I hear ya, the occasional trip with nothing to show was keeping my fever in check, now it is raging out of control. Had to make a quick run to spfld yesterday evening to get an electric fence charger, all the way back, watching the sun set all I could think about was "If I were there I would catch some more" and in my mind I could feel the "whack" when they hit. I know you are right ! When the fish start biting, we should be able to take off work and not get in trouble. You know like a sick day, call it a "fish day". I hope to get my boat maintenance finished, help my friend mount he new hardware on his boat, be on the water Saturday. buzzbaitr
MOPanfisher
I try to explain to my boss that the work will always be there but the good fishing won't. Fortunately the current and previous bosses were fishermen (better than me) and we could always work out a way for at least one of us to escape when the fishing was hot. dan hufferd
