GREENTRITON Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Thanks for the info Boys, I am just back from Aunts creek ramp. No problem getting my 19 ft F-S in the south ramp at this time. Does make it hard not to know where the end of ramp is, just don't want to drop off end of ramp and have trailer problems. PS- fishing not the best for me only 3 shorts on the Ned.. Ketchup Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Just walked in the door myself from Aunts. Did pretty well. I lost the biggest bass I've ever hooked into on TR. if it wasn't 7 pounds it wasn't a fish. I know I know, but this story is true. Throwing a wiggle wart, and a buddy text. I had just got it down to digging into the rocks, and picked up my phone to text him back. Set the phone down, started reeling the reel, and a huge tug started. Must have ate it as it was floating up. She didn't put up much of a fight. On the second try to lip her at the boat, I noticed she was barely hooked on the skin part of her lower mouth. I reached down to belly grab her as she was just laying by the boat with her mouth shut, and as soon as I touched her, yep that WW popped out as I watched her VERY slowly swim straight back down to 8 FOW. I left the area a few hundred yards down and caught a few barely keepers on a RC. Went back 2 hours later to try to entice the big girl into biting the Ned, and 2nd cast caught a 3 pound smallie. At first I thought i had hooked Ol' biggie as that smallie pulled like a train. Overall pretty good afternoon. vernon, cheesemaster and Quillback 3 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club.
