Quillback Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Wanted to do a quick check here to see if we will still have enough people coming to make this worthwhile. The weather is certainly going to be miserable. However, if there is still enough interest we can still do it. Probably will make the food side of things a little tougher, but I think we'll still have something food wise. If you're still a definite, reply to this thread. Phil and Robert are planning to go to Eagle Rock tomorrow to set up a big tent, so we need to decide by tonight. Muddy Water 1
dblades Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I guess I'm still willing, as long as the high is above 32. Heading out now for a worthless pre fishing trip. Muddy Water 1
Champ188 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Donna and I are in (with 5 pounds of tater salad) as long as enough others show up. And if we're driving up there, we are dang sure fishing. magicwormman and Muddy Water 2
Ketchup Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I have been putting alot of thought into this. Tho i normally fish/hunt in any type of weather, its the possible road conditions that make the decision, especially for those driving a distance. Im all for rescheduling for a better Saturday, which looking at the weather, is any other than this weekend. Daryk Campbell Sr and Muddy Water 2 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. It will have to drop to at least 30 before the roads will be of any legitimate concern. We might get better weather another weekend, but turnout might be less than even this weekend given people's busy lives these days. It's also tournament season already, which likely will affect some members.
Quillback Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Well I was just looking at the Springfield forecast, and it is for an inch of snow and ice in the afternoon, a lot of folks coming down from the north and it could be pretty slick for them on the way home. In that case, I withdraw my previous statement. crazy4fishin and Muddy Water 2
Mofloatjunkie Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 The forecast up here in Springfield is not looking good. I think it would be a good idea to reschedule. I wanna fish this so much but it's looking like it could possibly be bad. Muddy Water and crazy4fishin 2
cheesemaster Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I hate to drop my truck AND boat into a ditch trying to get home. I am just south of Springfield and if they are calling for snow and ice - I will have to back out. Sorry. Not worth loosing all my junk over. Daryk Campbell Sr and Muddy Water 2
