Members vpk2488 Posted March 9, 2017 Members Posted March 9, 2017 Put in at shell knob and fished 9:30-1. Caught 10, all on the ned. Pretty much all Ks in 15-20 fow. Those fish and I weren't too fond of the slick conditions, but made the best of it. Wt 52.5-54 Dewayne French, crazy4fishin, cheesemaster and 2 others 5

Ketchup Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I agree Champ, but dangit, KVD said to cast that little 1.5 into the wind, and my reels say differently. big c 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Champ188 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 In my opinion, distance is your most important factor on big, clear lakes like The Rock. I'd rather throw downwind with a big distance advantage than into the wind because someone says every fish down there is facing into the wind.

If a big ol' craw daddy is sitting ten feet away I can't believe that a fish is gonna miss out cause he's lookin' the other direction since the winds blowin' the wrong way. Of course anybody desperate enough to pay any attention to what I have to say about catching fish has bigger problems than just the direction of the wind!
