I really only fish for bass on streams, if I had more time to fish, maybe I would do some other kinds of fishing, but realistically, I would most likely just do more stream bass fishing. lol. Sounds like stream fishing is just part of all of your outdoor activities so maybe that's why some of those things don't bother you as much. It's my passion however. Sometimes I wish I was a more well rounded outdoorsmen, maybe when I retire. I don't catch 20 inchers all the time. I just happened to catch one a couple weekends ago. Seems like there were more of them around in the 1990's, but I don't know. Those paddlefish are beasts though As long as you enjoy what you are doing, why change? Most people I know are a one species type of person. I'm just kind of an oddball, but it's just how I was brought up. I've gone through several phases of what I was in to fishing for and ended up being able to go catch most of them somewhat decently. My biggest flop was chasing big blues and flatheads on the Missouri River. I never did figure that out and then the darn asian carp has caused the shad population to suck balls and make it really hard to get fresh bait without having to drive all over the state so I just kind of gave up.

I've also posted the info on our snagging in the Tablerock section. Unlike some of the forum members who seem to think that the only thing worth posting is pissing and moaning about other people fishing "their" waters, there are some of us who actually post details to try and help others out. Seth I appreciate your posts. I may not get to fish bigger rivers like the Gasconade or Osage that often, but still find value in techniques that you guy post. Kind of tough to fish those water from the bank or even wade fishing. Though the last time I did fish the Gasconade, I was wade fishing upstream from the 63 bridge. I caught four smallmouth using a baby bass colored fluke. I caught on the first cast the only made 8 or 9 casts until the water was too deep to wade and the bank too steep to fish. They can be anywhere in the faster stuff during the summer months. I never catch anything over 2# there, but I did catch my second biggest smallmouth ever just down stream from that bridge. It came up out of a big log pile that hard telling how many anglers fished that day and sucked in my trick worm. It was a wonder I ever got that fish. Luckily I was able to get it up over the log and then it ran out in to the middle of the river. Johnsfolly 1

I love to catch minnows and darters as well as large trout, bass, or any other fish I can get on my line. I'll fish a drainage ditch (and have on many occasions) to catch a number of fish or a different species. What's even worse is that I will set up goals to go and find those fish. Drives my wife crazy. Oh well! Seth and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
