If it's stupid, and it works, it ain't that stupid...

The ned is a flat out fish catcher.

It does catch fish I don't understand it though.  I get that it looks like a minnow feeding down, I don't get how it is so effective trolled and drug fast along the bottom.  The point of my post is that it seeems very effective.  Don't understand why?  Always wonder why? any plausible suggestions.  Who came up with the idea to not have a tail  or anything?   It works, Why is what I'm curious of.

If there’s one thing bad about it it’s that it gets snagged a lot.   Especially in rivers.    Typically just pull it back out from the way it went in but on a river that is a headache.

Have you tried it Texskin rigged using something like Jades EWG Jigs?  I am only losing about 1/10 of what I used to + not gut hooking them.

I've been using the Z-Man EWG nedlockz.   I don't think it's the hook hanging up I think it just settles into a nooks and crannies because it pops right out if you go above it and pull it out the way it went in.  Does that make sense?  I don't lose them they just hang up A LOT.

We feel your pain, but when it pops out, that is when you get the bite.
