I have WeekendWarrior to thank for that, he's the one that set me straight on it. ? Gotta give credit to that little red square bill too, that sucker got hammered everywhere it was supposed to. mixermarkb 1

Back when the Sluggo was a hot new thing I weighed 22-2 in a club derby solo, and believe it or not all of those fish were males(?) guarding fry. Up until today that was the biggest weight I ever racked up all by myself. I've had quite a few 19-21# sacks....but I always had some help from a good partner.

Because of the nature of my work it is near impossible for me to plan on or commit to anything. Plus I'm kinda on this crusade against hauling around and relocating fish. I have crowed about it so much that if I fished a regular weigh-in tournament now I'd be the biggest hypocrite ever. ? tho1mas and ramman123 2
Old plug Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I did one over 20 right. But I am estimating. I caught 4 one mornijng that were all right at 21-22 inches. Right on that that flat point at the mouth of Mill Creek down from where you used to live Wrench. I was flabbergasted it was like I hit a school of big bass or something. The whole thing only took about 1/2 hour.. I caughtp them all on a old Hula Grub. That was the best and wildest morning of my fishing carreer. Back in the day that place from the point all the way to your old house used to be a big bass hang out I am sure you remember that Wrench. Now days you put your life on the line fishing oit there.
fishinwrench Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 Yep, Johnny Borden use to live in the neighborhood, he fished every day and every night, and brought every fish over 3# back to his dock. He did that for at least 6 years. He wouldn't even release his fish on tournament days, after weighing in he'd put them back in his livewell and take them back home. You could actually get away with that back in the 80's. I'm sure that had alot to do with the excellent fishing around Gibson point. mixermarkb 1
Hydro 205 Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I've been putting off buying one it seem like you snag more fish than you catch. Guess im going to have to get one.
