Just an aside, but I've never understood people using facebook as their platform to debate politics/anything else. It is potentially the worst platform in existence for that. Combine the nastiness that often comes from the ease of a few key-strokes with everything being attached to your name/essentially public record, and it's just not the place. jdmidwest Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 Just saying, it is bound to happen. I did hear a report that they are gettin killed off by large numbers in the TN river system. Something down there they are allergic too. Wappapello topped emergency spillway and washed out T road. Another record for that lake. ozark trout fisher 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

I heard the interview with the District Engineer and he said they were closing 55 because they had conversations with the NWS about the "coming" rain. He said they work closely with the NWS to void problems before they happen. And the NWS said they were forecasting 1-3 inches over the next two days which would put those bridges in trouble. Hmmm??

Here's hoping the system blows thru really fast. It seems like there isn't a road open on any road that crosses a river in the southern part of the state. I was going to go to one of the little creeks to check it out but the Hwy 47-50 in Union was shut down due to the Burbouse river flooding. They just got everything put back together from 2015.
