Sounds good Mike, I'll do it!

Little brother (not so little) and I will be in my shiny, almost still new Z521c.

Silver with blue striping and deck.

Although that big 'ol silver toaster oven on the back is the dead giveaway!

Ain't no hiding that G2 amongst all those Merc's.

We'll be staying on the east side of Indian Point on Rock Lane so we will definitely be infringing on one another's territorial waters pretty frequently.

I'm leaving the Tomahawks at home this trip though so no worries........

Vernon - we don't hold the fact that you have a Ranger with a G2 against you :D.....this forum, if nothing else, is truly non judgmental in any way shape or form when it comes to the type of boat or motor that one chooses to utilize in their quest for the elusive green devil.....but keep in mind we do have judgement and opinions on jersey's, Ned fishing & the best head, pliers to put new hooks on, if you should launch / fish in high water situations....

really other than that we are fairly unbiased and tolerant except for those with no tolerance then we will not put up with those kind!

Mike - really cool that you got our wife fishing....as soon as mine started I was able to get a bigger boat! Then again she did buy more shoes that she needed to fish in.....not sure who won here

I just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary and my wife Mary just started going fishing with me now that we are down here at TRL full time. But she refuses to throw anything but a Ned. I'm hoping to get her on a TW bite in the next 5 days. I think once she has a blow up on a top water she will want to throw it too.

Mike

Kathy was with me last week when we were down and caught quite a few fish and all were on the Ned.  She's pretty low maintenance on the water - if the fish are biting decent then she's in, otherwise she's just fine with a book or a magazine.

She's got a small (relatively anyways) collection of her own favorite lures, ties her own stuff and only asks for help unhooking fish when she's afraid of hurting one is it's hooked a little deep.

However, this week my brother's coming with me and he's a pain in the butt and a big baby and I have to hold his hand the entire time.

Not really, but he doesn't follow the forum very often so I can get away with saying whatever I feel like!

You're right about that topwater deal though.  Kathy caught her first TW fish on a Pop-R back a hundred years ago and getting her to try anything else during topwater fishing is just about impossible now.

It they don't hit the stuff on top sometime in the next week I don't know when the heck they're gonna do it!

The total "acceptance" and tolerant attitude of this forum is what keeps me coming back.

Never an ounce of criticism or skepticism around here!

Although I might put a grocery bag over my motor next week just in case.......

Alrighty then....given that visual I am sure that Mike will be able to spot you and your brother no problem....so if you are holding hands do you cast and he retrieve?

Just kidding!!I

Now that's just mean.............

And saying "Just kidding" afterward does NOT make it OK.

Hand holding brothers have feelings too!

Congrats on 48 years.  That is awesome!  And for sure if she catches them on top she will surely be hooked.  Good luck!  I bet it will turn on very soon.

Some of us  have also occasionally stated -- politely, of course! -- our feelings on sawing the sides off bass, live bait dunking, A-rig chunking, superhuman ratios of keepers/lunkers per cast/outing, and the display of attire better suited for a Taliban/al Queda sandkicker than a red-blooded American bassman (or woman).

BUT, as previously stated, let no one EVER accuse any OAF member of being judgmental or opinionated. :D
