moguy1973 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Slept in a bit this morning to get a little needed rest and got out around 9:30. My wife outfished me dragging the Ned behind the boat and caught 4 short smallies and a small channel cat. I had one short spot on a jig and what I think was a meanmouth on a biffle bug. Looked just like a smallmouth but it was more green than brown. It's hard to see but it's the first picture. Tough bite with this high sky. Water cooled down a bit where we were to 67-68. big c, m&m, Quillback and 10 others 13 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Members FishSqueezer Posted May 25, 2017 Members Posted May 25, 2017 Looks like everyone had fun, tough bite or not. Thanks for the report...keep them coming. My family is headed to the Indian Point area next week, so I've been watching your posts with great interest...love to hear any suggestions you have by the end of your trip!
dtrs5kprs Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Turn those ladies loose with a Ned in the back of the boat, and you're apt to end up designated photographer and net man. Donna G, magicwormman, Patlock and 4 others 7
moguy1973 Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 Went out for an hour tonight at dusk hoping for a top water bite but to no avail. Did catch this nice one on a spinner bait. On a shallow bank that was clear of trees in about 6' of water. dtrs5kprs, Quillback, magicwormman and 1 other 4 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
buckwhisperer Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Good stuff moguy, love the family pics. I wouldn't argue that's a meany.
Champ188 Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Definitely a meanmouth. Lovely family. Kudos for getting them out there. magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 2
