fowlthing Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Caught 54 Friday on red fin and big spook mostly. Also some on underspin and a grass jig. Fin was hard for me to keep making the wake... so had to hold rod high and shake. 8 keepers, 4 whites, 3 smallies and the rest K's mostly.Almost all were 13-15 inches... and fat. Fished from 2 until dark. Long casts worked best... and had one double on the spook. cheesemaster, crazy4fishin, Quillback and 3 others 6
Longball22 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Very nice. Assuming the water clarity is coming back up there?
176champion Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Thanks for the report!....did they drag the boat dock up? Carl W 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
fowlthing Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 Water is getting better but slowly. I actually launched from Eagle rock and ran up but did not go back into the ramp at big M A week ago the dock was still way out. At both Eagle rock and big M. Water is half way up the bathroom Carl W 1
Members Joenothum Posted May 31, 2017 Members Posted May 31, 2017 you gotta buy about 7 or 8 redfins to find the one that's wakes properly. All joking aside I have bought a couple that wont wake well. sometimes I have the same trouble you do and I find I'm retrieving it too fast.

If you ran up from Eagle Rock, you were going toward Holiday Island, not Big M. For you guys struggling to get a Fin to run right, there are steps you can take to help immensely. Use the search feature within this TR forum and you'll find them. Quillback, cheesemaster, Donna G and 2 others 5
fowlthing Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 You are correct I ran down stream, but incorrectly say up when I think of running north. Thanks I will search for fin tips.
gitnby Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 The best way to get a redfin to run right is to tie on a Whopper Plopper! Ham, eyedabassman, Quillback and 1 other 4
